Angela combines 15 years of experience in international business development, finance, investment banking and commercial strategy, with her passion for people’s empowerment. As an independent consultant, business advisor and private investor, she helps founders build and grow their businesses, especially by attaining the capital necessary to scale-up. Angela serves as a Board Member of PWN Norway (Professional Women Network) and as the Vice President of Mentoring since January 2018. She also serves on several advisory boards of women-led companies. An active member of the Colombian-Norwegian Chamber of Commerce, Angela supports bilateral commercial initiatives. Previous engagements. While being a consultant in internationalization strategy, Angela facilitated the entry of Nordic companies into the North and Latin American markets. Her previous engagement with internationalization processes and business development was as part of the team taking National Geographic and Fox TV channels to the Nordics after 2011. Before that, in her position of Finance Manager for the School of Computer Science at Florida International University, Angela helped to develop the University's Technology Transfer Office, helped develop the commercialization strategy of several research projects that became tech-startups, and strengthen the relationship with donors and sponsors such as NASA, IBM and Hewlett Packard. Angela’s experience before that relates to investment banking and financial advisory in Citibank and subsidiaries.
