PWN Norway Monthly Event: The voice of Influence (Oslo)
04 April 2018
18:00 - 20:00
Scandic Oslo City Hotel
ABOUT THE TOPIC
Why do some speakers have more influence than others? What do they do that makes them so special? Is being influential a talent they were just born with or is it a skill that they (and we?) can learn? These are questions I have been pondering all my life. As a child I was fascinated by great speakers. As a young boy I watched John. F. Kennedy on our old black & white television set. My family followed Martin Luther King Jr. as he marched on Birmingham. These speakers were my childhood heroes and the way that they spoke to audiences deeply inspired me.
In many ways, all speaking is public speaking. Having influence is not about forcing someone or manipulating them into doing something they don't want to do. Real Influence is about moving people. It's about getting them to listen carefully to what you have to say, then opening them up to your ideas and thoughts. We will learn three basic steps: 1. Connecting 2. Winning Hearts 3. Changing Minds. And we will learn how you can use your voice to allow your Authentic Self to shine through.
